Loving Through Dementia

Remembering and Supporting Families Affected by Dementia

Remembering and Supporting Families Affected by Dementia

“The problem is not that people with dementia forget. The problem is that they are forgotten.” - Pastoral Theologian John Swinton

We are a free all-volunteer dementia education/support ministry. Our mission is to:

Answer God’s Call to love one another - in particular, to love all families facing dementia. To provide free help, hope, inspiration and dementia education. To send the message that these families are not alone. They are not forgotten. To promote person centered care for all living dementia. To help break the crushing stigma associated with this illness.

Inspire, provide resources, and educate other churches as they answer this same Call.

Resources and Support for Families Caring for Loved Ones with Dementia

This mission is fulfilled via support groups, private consultations, annual Dementia Family Conferences, annual Spring Leaders’ Workshops, along with providing and maintaining the lovingthroughdementia.org website and its Action Plan.

In addition to the resources that are available on our website, we also offer two very important support groups for those caring for dementia/Alzheimer patients.
