community update

Grace and Peace to you. We want to assure you that although our buildings are closed, the Due West staff is still working to meet the needs of the church and the community. All on campus activities, including worship, are currently suspended. We do not want to reopen without a plan that has been prayerfully and thoughtfully prepared.   We are working on that at the moment, but there are many things to consider.   When we are clear on that date, we will certainly let you know.    You will probably hear us shouting from the rooftops!   But until then, thank you for joining us online.  Thank you for the ways you are finding to fellowship and serve.

To keep up to date with out latest information watch our daily video devotions and updates provided via our Facebook Page!

At this time we are suggesting “virtual” Bible Studies and Small Groups. There are several very good virtual meeting platforms, such as Zoom and Google Hangouts, that allow groups to stay connected through visual online programming. We encourage our small groups, families and individuals to take advantage of Right Now Media for excellent programming for all ages. (link below)

Despite all that is going on, we are still the church. Opportunities to help will be posted regularly on our Website and Facebook pages. During the coming weeks, Due West will be sharing daily messages on social media to help encourage our community.

We look forward to seeing you all in person soon, but for now, we pray for wisdom, discernment and patience. We pray for safety and good health. We pray for you, “Once we were not a people… but now we are a people in Christ Jesus.” (1 Peter 2:10)

Due West is officially partnering with MUST Ministries and other local businesses and churches to collect very specific items. Please review the list below. These are the Due West UMC items. (ONLY these item are being collected, NO CLOTHING) Bins are located outside the front doors of both buildings A and C.

Due West United Methodist Church is open, friendly, and most of all centered on Jesus Christ. The United Methodist Church's members share beliefs with other Christian groups, including faith in God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
