In the Due West Nursery, we are committed to providing a loving atmosphere with responsible, safe, and healthy care for your child, while promoting his or her spiritual growth.

Where to Go

Nursery during Traditional Worship is located in the N. Campus, adjacent to the Sanctuary.  Contemporary Worship & Weekday Nursery is located in the South Campus down the long hall outside the Sanctuary. They provide care for birth through age three.  Children are developmentally divided by:

  • Infants  (until crawling)
  • Creepers  (crawling until age 18 months)
  • Walkers  (18 months to 2 1/2 years)
  • Toddlers  (2 1/2 to 3)
  • Older Children  (weekday only)

Check-In Process

To provide your child with the best care, all children at Due West are registered in the computerized Roll Call system.  After initial registration, Sunday morning check-in is simple:

  • Arrive at any of the rolling cart check-in systems.
  • Locate your child’s name and click “Check In” for the correct area.
  • Receive a printed name tag to place on your child and a pager to keep with you until pick-up time.
  • Bring your child to the nursery!

Pager System

When you drop your child off, please remember to say goodbye and depart the nursery wing.  Your little one may seem upset at first, but that usually ends shortly if you do not stay close by.  If your child is inconsolable, we will notify you via the pager.

About Our Team

Our nursery staff is top-notch!  Our adult to infant ratio is in accordance with our Safe Sanctuaries policy, along with parent volunteers. Each staff member has been trained in infant/child CPR and Safe Sanctuaries training.  All volunteers are also required to undergo a background check and Safe Sanctuaries training.  These important steps ensure they have the best possible team members caring for your child.

Contacting You

If your child becomes ill or injured, we will activate your pager.  It is essential that it is on your person. If it is tucked away in your purse or coat, it is unlikely that you will feel it.

Personal Items

Please label all of your child’s diapers, bottles/sippy cups, pacifiers and diaper bags.

Please notify the staff of any food allergies.  We typically provide goldfish & graham crackers.

Health & Hygiene

Each week, the nursery is cleaned and sanitized for your child’s protection.  Please help us keep our classrooms free of illness.  We are aware that sometimes this is a difficult call to make.  Please be conservative and do not bring your child if he/she has experienced any of the following

  • Runny nose (not clear)
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
  • Questionable rash
  • Pinkeye (conjunctivitis)
  • Fever within the last 24 hours
