center for the arts

Due West Center for the Arts is a ministry of Due West United Methodist Church that strives to provide excellent instruction through private music lessons, art & theatre classes to church and community members alike.
Our teachers love what they do and are qualified and competent to teach in their individual areas of expertise.  They emphasize Christian principles, encouraging students to work hard and do their best in all things.

All of our teachers must complete Safe Sanctuaries training each year as directed by the United Methodist Church Conference.

Fall musicals

We’re so excited to be able to present our Fall 2020 Musicals outside! Our casts have worked very hard via zoom, on their own and finally, in person to make this happen!

Everything is general admission, first come, first served. $30 per car / $15 per single person - if you’re single without anyone else in your vehicle, the $15 ticket is for you. If you are a family with one kid or six kids, the $30 ticket is for you - if you can fit six kids in your car ;-D.

This event is OUTDOORS and will be held in our Parking Lot between Buildings B & C.
We have built an outdoor stage just outside of our South Campus, Building C on Due West Road (behind the Pumpkin Patch).

-- Admission to events will start 45 minutes prior to shows.
-- Guests will enter from either side of the parking lot and will park along the outsides of the lot, leaving the middle open for sitting.
-- Tickets are general admission - seating spaces are first come, first served.
-- CHAIRS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED. BRING your own camping chairs or a blanket and sit in the parking lot to watch this fun show!
-- Grab and go concessions will be available for purchase.
-- Weather plan is to postpone for a day to be determined in the future. If you are unable to attend, we will issue refunds if requested.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS

Did you know that the study of MUSIC can help improve students’ grades, can develop skills necessary in the workplace, can give children a means of self-expression and can even help a child’s sense of empathy?  It’s never too late in the year to start private music lessons.  We have year-round registration.
Our professional, experienced teachers are all background checked and Safe Sanctuary certified annually. Lessons typically cost $22-25 per half hour and are done weekly. We also offer Group Lessons for Strings that cost $25 and are every other week for an hour.  Contact any of our teachers below to set up lessons today!
