Guatemala Mission Trip
July 13-21, 2012

Due West is partnered with "Hearts for the Children" and has long been involved with medical and dental missions in Guatemala alongside another crew who over the past 6 years have built a church, complete with pews. The medical team tends to the medical and dental needs of the people within the community for a couple of days. This includes salon for hair washing and feet washing. This has become a favorite of both the community and our youth traveling on this trip.

The church, The Temple of Mt. Zion, began in 2006 with a mission team from Due West UMC digging the footings for this church. The church building was officially opened in 2011 and in 2012 the team built pews for the church.
