Women's Ministries
W.I.N.G.S.
(Women In New Growing Spirit)
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come." 2 Corinthians 5:17
There is an enormous amount of strength that women gather from being around other women. It is a blessing to have the love, support and council of women on the same faith journey. Our ministry offers fellowship groups, Bible studies, retreats and more. The Bible studies are offered throughout the year with our main sessions offered in the spring and fall. Contact Gina Fancher, Director of Women's Ministries at 770-427-3835, ext. 270 or Email Gina for information about this ministry.

WINGS Hearts & Spades Garden Club
Serving through sowing God’s seeds.
The WINGS Garden Club is official! We have had our first meeting and decided on: our name, our mission statement and the following scripture."And the earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:12
Some of our anticipated projects are:
- taking care of the DWUMC campus containers, i.e. planting for each season
- help out home-bound people who enjoy gardening but can't do this currently
- work in the yards/gardens at nursing homes
- share cuttings from our yards
- visit local gardens like Smith-Gilbert Gardens, Atlanta Botanical Garden
- visit "you pick it" farms for fruit in season
UPCOMING EVENTS:
Join us for the Cobb Master Gardeners “Edible Gardening” presentation on Friday, February 10th during their Garden Lunch & Learn from 12:00-1:00 pm. Louise will suggest plant selections and how to care for and maintain your edible garden. Be sure and bring your lunch with you. The presentation will be held at the County Water Lab at 662 S. Cobb Drive & Atlanta Road. Schedule and directions can be found at: http://www.cobbmastergardeners.com. Contact Marie Clewis with questions at 678-231-3249 about this even.
