Men's Ministries

The mission of the Due West United Methodist Men is to provide a dedicated ministy for building men spiritually and involving them in the total ministry of our Church.

To accomplish this mission:

1. It will create a supportive fellowship of men who:
  • Seek personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Desire to grow spiritually and to seek His daily will
  • Will encourage new members through active recruitment
  • Will seek to meet the individual needs of all its members
2. It will create a conduit to:
  • Reach out to the men of the church to support their daily living, joys, concerns, trials and tribulation
  • Support the physical and spiritual needs of the church
3. It will reach out to the surrounding community by sharing the fullness of the gospel in its personal and social dimensions.

Monthly Meetings

What - Guest Speakers, Breakfast ($ 4.00) and Fellowship
When - The second Sunday of each month at 7:00 AM
Where - Family Life Center
Who - There is no membership or requirement for you to attend. We are an open Fellowship of men seeking to know Jesus and to share our lives with other Christians.
Why -
1. We love Jesus,
2. We love to eat,
3. We love to spend time with other men who share our beliefs.

Monthly Breakfast Meetings

The Men's breakfast will be Sunday, February 12 at 7:00 am in the Family Life Center. Please join us for good food & fellowship. Our speaker will be Tom Saltino, Director of Stewardship at Murphy-Harpst Children's Home.

Weekly Accountability Meetings

Join men for a time each week for encouragement and prayer as they grow together in faith. There are several groups to choose from.

UMM Men’s Retreat
February 3 - 4, 2012

The United Methodist Men will be traveling to Simpsonwood this year for our annual retreat. Pastor Lavell Sanders will lead us in a spiritually fulfilling weekend. Lodging and meals are included in the package which includes Friday night lodging and dinner, and breakfast/lunch on Saturday. Cost is $75. You may pick up a registration form on Information tables around campus. Place your completed registration form, along with payment in the UMM mailbox in Admin II.  Email Tom Jackson for more information.

Men’s Spring Golf Tournament
Monday, March 26 ~ 10:00 am

The Spring Golf Tournament will be held at Brookstone Country Club in Acworth. Cost is $60/player.  Bring/build a team, or come by yourself and be put on a team. Registration forms will be available at the church in February and March. Email Tom Jackson for more information.
