Due West Center for the Arts is a ministry of Due West United Methodist Church that strives to provide excellent instruction through both private music lessons, Kindermusik, Dance, Art & Theatre classes to church and community members alike.
Our teachers love what they do and are qualified and competent to teach in their individual areas of expertise. They emphasize Christian principles, encouraging students to work hard and do their best in all things.
All of our teachers must complete Safe Sanctuaries training each year as directed by the United Methodist Church Conference.

SUMMER SHOW ~ July 14, 15 & 16, 2017
We are so excited to announce that this summer, we will be premiering a brand new musical written by Billy Payne & Christina Howell.
“WHEREVER YOU GO”
After the Civil War during Reconstruction we find Naomi and her daughters-in-law, Ruth and Orpah, having to reconstruct their lives. Circumstances call Naomi back home to the South but only one of her daughters completes the journey with her. Ruth and Naomi each struggle in different ways with identity and expectations of life now that they are widowed. Down South, they encounter people who take food, comfort, and hospitality seriously. In the end, they discover that even though they are very different, the bond they share is more than enough to overcome the hardships they have had to face.
Ages: High School, Adults & Families
Middle School ages & younger must have a parent/guardian participating with them. If you are looking for a show for kids only - check out our Musical Theatre Camp! We’re doing Beauty & the Beast Jr.

SCHOOL OF MUSIC
Our School of Music is located at Due West United Methodist Church. We offer private music lessons for Children (Kindergarten and older) and Adults. Whether you are looking to start an instrument from the beginning or simply want to improve your skills, we are sure to have a teacher that can accommodate you.
We offer lessons Monday through Friday in 30 minute increments on the church campus, usually in Building C (our South Campus building on Due West Road). Teachers set their own rates and schedule, but follow along with the Cobb County School calendar for school closings and holidays.
Private Music Lessons cost $22-25 per half hour lesson.
A 2010 study found that making music can significantly improve positive social behavior in young children-meaning they're more cooperative, agreeable and willing to help others. It’s never too late in the school year to start private music lessons. We have year-round registration for private lessons
